Objectives

To generate basic and applied research that will provide a new transdisciplinary account
of the biological, cognitive and social dimensions of learning; specifically, to provide
translational research and applications using developmental psychology as a bridging
framework, so that relevant aspects of neuroscience can make practical contributions to
learning and teaching in educational settings; to use learning and teaching processes and
results in those settings to influence and test theory in neuroscience and the learning
sciences more widely.
