Neuroscientific Methods

Prof Marty Sereno, Birkbeck/UCL

Taking a broad construction of neuroscience,
we have identified a suite of new methods
whose development will be relevant to all themes,
especially as regards mapping functions at an
individual level. Included here are functional optical
imaging, developmental functional MRI, and EEG.

Transdisciplinary question:

Can we use these tools to develop methods
for exploring the developing brain, in the ages
from 0 to the end of formal education, whose
outputs can be used to benefit educational
practice and theory?
